Now a retired Lieutenant Colonel with 20 years active duty experience, I served 16 years as a Judge Advocate.  Before becoming an attorney, I led paratroopers on multiple deployments out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Peter Kageleiry is an experienced former JAG and military lawyer. An experienced trial and appellate attorney, I have successfully defended and prosecuted hundreds of cases covering all aspects of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ).  In my military law practice, I focus exclusively on defending soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines. During my JAG career, I served eight years as a senior military defense counsel at both the trial and appellate levels.  Earlier in my JAG career, I worked five years as a military prosecutor.  This experience gave me in-depth knowledge of all levels and stages of the military justice system.  I am experienced former JAG and an experienced military lawyer.  I know military court-martial law and understand how the military court-martial system operates.  I will use my military court-martial experience to fight for you. I earned my law degree from Boston College Law School and I hold an advanced law degree, a Master of Laws, with a concentration in military justice.  My published work on military law enforcement interrogation methods has been cited by at least one appellate court and relied upon by other attorneys and authors.  I have led numerous training presentations on a wide range of topics related to defending military service members.  I am admitted to practice before the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, the service Courts of Criminal Appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
